Microsoft Software Engineer interview experience

After that, I had two back-to-back interviews where the first part was behavioral for the initial 15 minutes, then things shifted hard into technical.

In the technical part, I ran into a difficult LeetCode-style graph problem—something along the lines of finding redundant connections. I struggled to get traction right away, especially compared to the OA pace. The gap between the initial interview energy and the coding depth caught me off guard, and by the time I was solving I was constantly thinking about constraints and what approach would actually work.

Overall, it didn’t end in an offer.
