My interview scope ended up being pretty broad and technical, and it showed in what they asked me to cover.

I was pulled into questions spanning substrate CMOS diagrams, DFT concepts like MBIST, and even Verilog and Python coding. They also dug into tool-related ideas like ATPG, scan chains, and how those concepts connect.

On top of that, they asked about C programming and ASIC flow and touched on timing analysis. The sheer range made it feel like they were checking whether I could navigate multiple layers of the silicon workflow, not just one niche topic. The process wasn’t unpleasant, but it was definitely difficult, and I didn’t receive an offer.
