Meta Machine Learning Engineer interview experience

The first technical step was a phone screen where I solved coding in a LeetCode-style format (described as a medium-level problem) and then immediately had to communicate my thinking while coding. A little later, I joined a virtual onsite that ran in a tight loop of interviews: two coding rounds, a system design conversation, and a behavioral interview.

What stood out to me was the rhythm. The onsite coding rounds were remote and structured like timed exercises, with interviewers staying professional and giving room for questions. The system design portion leaned toward ML-relevant design
