Meta Software Engineer interview experience

The only real Meta-facing conversation I had was with a team lead, and that chat later resulted in an offer. The experience felt straightforward at the interview level—there wasn’t a coding gauntlet or a big multi-round loop.

Even though I did get the offer, I ultimately wasn’t able to accept it for unrelated reasons. Looking back, it was a reminder that sometimes the hurdle isn’t technical depth but timing and fit on the logistics side—my “interview outcome” was positive, yet the final decision didn’t come down to performance.
