Menlo Park, CAPosted Nov 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My Meta interview felt pretty standard in the best and most intense way: it was basically a LeetCode grind, with an emphasis on getting to the optimized answer quickly.

I kept getting the impression they wanted near-zero mistakes and execution that looked almost robotic.

What surprised me was how little emphasis there seemed to be on how I talked through every step. The priority was speed and correctness—finding the most optimized solution ASAP and not getting bogged down. Overall it didn’t feel chaotic or unpredictable; it just felt like a high bar for coding fluency under pressure. I didn’t get an offer, but I walked away understanding that the process was very much about hitting the technical bar cleanly rather than showcasing extra nuance.
