Before the role got filled, I took part in the early stage of a Meta interview that was heavily domain-focused.

It was done by a team member from the group hiring, and the experience felt tailored rather than generic.

They didn’t ask classic LeetCode-style questions. Instead, I worked on parsing a CSV in Python to extract the right data, and then the conversation moved into system-level debugging that matched what the role would actually involve. The interviewer was friendly and easy to talk to, which made the domain work feel more approachable.

I didn’t end up getting the offer, but it was one of the clearer examples of an interview aligned to real day-to-day engineering problems.
