Meta Software Engineer interview experience

The questions were focused on core coding problems: I worked on minimum window substring and also an expressions/operators style problem.

The interview was straightforward in format—just that single phone screen coding evaluation—but it felt like the pressure was real because the margin for error was small. I did the best I could, but I wasn’t successful and ended up being rejected after that round.

Even though I’d put a lot of time into prep, the experience reminded me that the phone screen can be decisive and there’s often little room to recover once the evaluation is over.
