I got contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn and quickly scheduled a phone interview with a team lead.

The call was fairly normal, and the technical side felt a bit lighter than what I was used to at heavier tech companies. After that, I went in for an in-person round not long after, and I really enjoyed the conversations—I met four different interviewers plus the internal recruiter, and the whole thing took around three hours.

During the in-person part, everyone was polite and made sure I felt comfortable, even down to being well hydrated. The experience itself felt warm and thoughtful, and the interviewers seemed genuinely focused on dialogue rather than just grilling me.

What soured it
