I went through two interviews that were both split into personal experience and case study sections, and the whole thing felt very scripted.

In each interview, the consultants read from a script during both the PEI and the case portions, which made the experience feel rigid and highly controlled.

The case interview became very technical, and the PEI conversation dug deep into my story. I had to be extremely detailed about what I did and what I learned, not just provide high-level descriptions.

It was difficult overall and I didn’t get an offer. The main thing I took away was that the format demanded precision in both storytelling and technical case thinking—if I was vague or too general in PEI, it showed immediately.
