I was pulled into a pretty extended multi-round process that started with an application, then a phone screen, and then a long stretch of preparation—about four weeks of case prep.

During that time, I had access to resources like live workshops provided by McKinsey, which helped me feel less lost.

Round one involved two interviews, and then round two ramped up to three interviews with partners. The whole thing felt like it was testing both problem-solving speed and the ability to communicate a coherent line of reasoning.
