My first round went really well, and it mainly left me optimistic for what could come next.

I had the first round interview with McKinsey and the company, and it felt strong because I’d been preparing for a while.

I didn’t have much detailed description beyond that the round went great and that I hoped it would lead into a final round and an offer. The reported difficulty was average, and the tone of my experience was positive.

I didn’t receive an offer, but I still remember the early confidence I had after that first round—feeling like preparation had paid off and that the next stage might be my chance.
