My interview was extremely short and ended almost immediately for reasons unrelated to my answers.

I was contacted through LinkedIn and brought in for an interview, but within a couple of minutes I was asked whether I was a US citizen. Since they didn’t hire from a student visa, the conversation stopped right there.

Even though it ended quickly, the interviewer was friendly, and there wasn’t any hostility in the call. The process didn’t really get to evaluation or discussion of fit—just eligibility and a fast close.

It was awkward mainly because there wasn’t time to show anything substantive, but I appreciated the straightforwardness and the friendly tone.
