MathWorks Software Engineer interview experience

We began by going through my background and what motivated me to apply, and then the conversation shifted into unseen technical questions related to numerical methods.

The format was simple and focused: fewer shifting topics, more emphasis on whether I could reason through numerical concepts in real time. I didn’t get an offer, and the main reflection I had afterward was that numerical-methods questions expose gaps quickly, especially when you don’t know the exact angle they’ll take.
