I had an email that sounded like a tightly controlled, hand-picked technology team process—specifically saying there wouldn’t be written rounds.

When I got to the venue, it turned into a walk-in style drive with a huge crowd, roughly a couple hundred people, and the vibe was chaotic compared to what the letter promised. I was handed a sheet with four programming questions and told to solve any two in 45 minutes. The topics were heavy and classic: knapsack, longest palindromic substring, diameter of a tree, and max cost in a 2D matrix with right-and-down moves.

I picked longest palindromic substring and diameter, finished and submitted within the time limit, then waited about another hour and a half before my first round even started.
