LyondellBasell Software Engineer interview experience

The early conversations had been genuinely nice, and the experience felt respectful and well put together up to that point.

Then I waited. They had suggested I would hear back regardless of whether I was successful, but I didn’t receive any follow-up after the assessment. That silence made the overall experience feel frustrating, even though the interview itself didn’t feel hostile.

Looking back, the hardest part wasn’t the interview content—it was the lack of communication afterward. I ended up feeling let down because everything up to the assessment was handled professionally.
