I went through multiple rounds and also did a university onsite interview round.

They gave me a mini project-style prompt, and I coded it all the way through so it was working at the end.

Even with the project functioning, I didn’t receive an offer. The process didn’t feel like it was solely about getting something to run—it seemed to judge something else about the execution or how the work matched what they were looking for.

I didn’t get an offer, and what I remember most is the mismatch between my confidence that the mini project was complete and the final decision.
