Atlanta, GAPosted Dec 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My path to the technical stage felt smooth, and the first technical interview included a whiteboard-style question that felt a bit like a “gotcha.” It was based on a 2x2 array method I hadn’t used in my regular development work, so even though I understood the exercise, I wasn’t sure what the long-term value of that specific trick was.

Later, I did move through a virtual onsite that included a LeetCode coding question, a laptop interview, a systems design round, and a hiring manager conversation. Overall it wasn’t too bad, and the main thing that helped was getting lucky with the question being tagged with Lyft so it matched what I’d seen.

I didn’t receive an offer. Still, the experience had a clear shape and the interviews that mattered most were the ones where they tested practical coding, design thinking, and how I handled the hiring manager conversation.
