Lyft Software Engineer interview experience

It required answering questions and completing code as part of an ongoing web development project. I could choose my own language for the implementation, which helped me focus on writing in the tooling I was most comfortable with.

The difficulty felt high, and I didn’t finish with an offer. Still, the format was at least tied to a continuing project context rather than isolated toy problems.

I didn’t get an offer, and the main reflection I kept was that the flexibility in language didn’t reduce the overall scope of the work—this was a real build-style task.
