Lyft Backend Engineer interview experience

• Screener + assessment + 2 interviews (remote) — I started with an initial recruiter-style screener, then completed an assessment. After that, I went through two additional interview rounds that each included technical components.
• Technical follow-ups — The early problems were relatively easy, but the later optimization questions were much more challenging than the initial prompts.

Outcome: I didn’t get the offer, and the takeaway was that the “hard part” was the deeper optimization iterations rather than the first pass coding problems.
