Lyft Software Engineer interview experience

Toronto, ONPosted Feb 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process stretched out to about two months, and it followed three main stages: an OA, then a general technical interview, and finally a domain-specific technical interview.

I completed all three and felt like the conversations went well.

After that, though, things went quiet. There was roughly two weeks of silence before I received a rejection. HR provided little to no useful feedback, and one thing that stood out was that people interviewing me weren’t from the exact team I would have been working with; I only spoke with SDEs from other teams. The whole experience left me with more uncertainty than clarity, and I never really understood what would have changed the result.
