After an initial recruiter-style introduction call, the process moved quickly into a technical round.

On that first conversation, I talked through why I was considering a change and what I expected in terms of salary.

The technical interview itself had a structured feel. I was asked C++-style or Java-relevant fundamentals and concepts, and it included a mix of discussion and problem-solving. One part of the session was oral, where I answered questions about general concepts like Java and OOP, and another part was program-based with a written problem where I worked through the solution. The pace felt deliberate—question, answer, move on—with the interviewer staying calm throughout.
