I had a very friendly, professional call with a tech recruiter.

The interview itself felt positive, and after the first round the recruiter stopped contacting me. I later learned it was because they didn’t think I’d accept their salary offer.

That offer was extremely low—around $2,000 USD—which felt especially mismatched for a US-based remote hiring scenario. I ended up rejecting it, since I could get better offers even from remote work in my home country.
