Irvine, CAPosted Aug 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I got pulled into the process fast, but the tone of the first conversation didn’t match the urgency.

The interviewer seemed friendly at the start, yet very quickly it felt like they stopped caring about moving the hiring conversation forward. After the first question, the energy dropped so much that I felt like I had already lost it.

I left that call shaken more than anything else. I didn’t get an offer, and the hardest part to process wasn’t the technical uncertainty—it was how the interview felt like it had already moved on emotionally before I could fully demonstrate my thinking.
