I encountered an interview step that was basically an assessment.

It was framed as something that could take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes and it needed my full attention. I was able to complete it from a mobile device or tablet as well as a PC.

What stuck with me was how mismatched it felt with the job itself. I ended up doing computer-based work that didn’t function smoothly, and the experience made me wonder why I wasn’t asked more directly—customers talk to people, not screens.

Even with that awkward assessment piece, the rest of the process was described as clear and upfront. After the interview, if a role was offered, they tested you immediately
