I went through an initial phone interview that was pretty technically heavy, and it also leaned into motivation—at least in terms of why investment banking and why the firm.

The call ran about 30 minutes and I was speaking with two people at once. The questions weren’t just surface-level; they expected solid preparation.

Then I progressed into a stage that moved me closer to a superday, where the structure became more clearly behavioral on the younger banker side. In that later segment, they asked more questions focused on understanding who I was and what I thought about business growth, rather than pushing purely technical mechanics.
