I interviewed through a half-day Zoom format.

It started with a 30-minute presentation, and then I moved through several one-on-one conversations with group leaders.

What surprised me was how much time I was given to ask questions about the lab and the institute. The whole flow felt less like a high-stakes grilling and more like a guided exchange that still covered my research up front.

I left the process feeling like I’d had a chance to understand where I would fit, even though I didn’t end up getting an offer.
