A recruiter reached out after seeing my work on GitHub, and I ended up with a short intro interview with another recruiter.

That call took about an hour and felt pretty generic—mostly non-technical conversation—plus they asked me to go back and reference my GitHub work again. After that, there wasn’t much to do besides wait.

About a week later I received a generic “thank you for your time” email, and that was the end of it. Honestly, it felt low-effort and like there wasn’t much of a real evaluation going on beyond checking that my portfolio existed.
