I interviewed for Kotak Mahindra Bank through university, and the whole experience was surprisingly minimal: just one round.

It felt like an “average but focused” session, with one medium DSA question and one SQL question.

The SQL part was pretty easy, and the interviewer also asked about my projects afterward, so it wasn’t only a pure coding check. Most of the attention shifted to explaining what I’d built and how I approached the work behind my projects.

Because it was only a single round, I didn’t have much time to recover from any shaky moments. Still, it went okay overall, and I walked out feeling like the process was more about assessing baseline competence and communication than running a long gauntlet.
