I traveled to the Pune Technology Center from Bangalore for the interview, and although the interview itself was supposed to take only about 1.5 to 2 hours, the process ended up taking the whole day.

Before I came, I had told them my salary expectations, and during the discussion HR pushed back, saying I was expecting more than they wanted.

That timing didn’t make sense to me. If I was already stating expectations, I didn’t understand why they still conducted the interview. They also told me they’d reimburse travel expenses equivalent to a train fare, but months later I still hadn’t received reimbursement and HR didn’t respond to emails.

I didn’t get an offer, and the combination of the long day and the lack of follow-through left a sour impression that stuck with me.
