Kiewit Corporation Software Engineer interview experience

I had an initial interview arranged, and the HR side of the process was very friendly and easy to talk to.

The conversation felt simple and professional, and I didn’t feel talked down to.

The part that ultimately ended things wasn’t the interview itself—it was what happened after. The application didn’t move forward because the employer wasn’t able to transfer H1B sponsorship for an international employee. So even though the interview interaction went well, the decision never really got past the constraints.

I didn’t receive an offer, and the experience left me with the feeling that timing and immigration policy mattered more than performance in that stage.
