Reston, VAPosted May 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a longer, more high-effort multi-stage process that included an online assessment, HR conversations, and a headquarters visit.

Online assessment — A pre-interview step before meeting live.
HR informational interview — A conversation with HR and likely fit/experience alignment.
HR + project manager interview — Another interview pairing, bringing in leadership.
Onsite at HQ (Reston) — Multiple rounds with project managers and directors, including a benefits presentation, reimbursement, and a shared meal. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer here, and the takeaway was that the process could be resource-intensive and formal compared to typical phone-only screens.
