Justworks Software Engineer interview experience

It was pretty conversational, and the tone felt amicable throughout. I remember feeling like if I got stuck, the interviewers would try to steer the conversation back rather than cut me off.

After that, there was a live coding interview. The format stayed consistent with the earlier stage—people were friendly, and the emphasis felt more on working through problems than on trying to catch me making mistakes.

I didn’t receive an offer, but I walked away with a clearer sense of what they were evaluating because the process felt cooperative. Even though I didn’t land it, it was easy to follow.
