I was contacted by a recruiter and scheduled a technical round, and the main contrast for me was the interviewer’s attitude.

The questions themselves were on the easier side, but the tone felt off—like the focus wasn’t on interviewing me so much as showing how much the interviewer knew.

When we discussed a problem and I pointed out a flaw in the approach, the interaction shifted in a way that made the process feel tense. I left that round feeling like the technical content mattered less than how the conversation went, and ultimately I didn’t get an offer.
