I made it far enough to schedule an interview on Zoom, and I went through the process right up until the last moment.

The night before the interview, HR contacted me to say they wouldn’t proceed because of management decisions tied to global headcount.

There wasn’t a technical screen or interview day to even judge. I didn’t get an offer, and the reflection I’m left with is that the process ended for reasons outside my control, which made the whole lead-up feel pointless despite the time spent getting ready.
