Jio Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Negative

Navi MumbaiPosted Nov 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process happened as expected from an interview-timing standpoint, but the HR and compensation conversation left a sour feeling.

They communicated an offer with CTC framed as if it matched a service-based company, and for a job switch with about 2 years of experience, it was described as only around a 40% hike.

What stood out was that the HR conversation didn’t seem to ask about my expectations or preferences. The stance was that if I wanted to accept the offer I could, otherwise I could end the process there.

I didn’t get an offer. My reflection was that even when the recruitment process “runs” normally, the way compensation and HR fit are handled can completely change how the overall experience lands.
