J.B. Hunt Transport Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Negative

United StatesPosted Sep 2018 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I was disappointed by how the interviews were conducted, mainly because the evaluation felt too dependent on a single tech interviewer rather than a properly assembled panel.

The overall impression was that my technical skills weren’t being assessed in a way that reflected experienced, professional interviewing.

As the conversation progressed, it also reinforced how much the interviewer’s presence and organization mattered. The focus didn’t feel steady or attentive, and that made it harder to trust that the process was truly evaluating what I knew.

I didn’t end up with an offer, and the part that stuck with me wasn’t a specific technical miss—it was the feeling that the interview experience was not set up for a fair assessment.
