I experienced an interview path that started with basic screening but then turned into a heavy, time-consuming orientation, making it feel average with a major downside.

Recruiter phone call — I began with a recruiter screen.
Technical interview (SQL + OOP) — I was tested on basic SQL and OOP concepts.
Week-long orientation with daily homework — If I passed, I had to commit to a week of orientation with daily assignments totaling 60+ hours.
Final technical interview (coding) — I then completed a coding-focused technical interview. Outcome: No offer; the takeaway was that the “non-negotiatable” commitment and learning-from-online setup made it a last-resort option.
