I faced a more difficult, tools-and-architecture-heavy screen centered on engineering practices and back-end ecosystem knowledge.

HR call → panel with engineers — I had an initial call with HR, then a follow-up with a team of engineers including a team lead and software architects; the conversation focused on soft skills and engineering tooling.
Tech stack + CI/CD + Java ecosystem — I was asked about my experience with testing and CI/CD, Maven, Spring Boot annotations, Core Java/Java 8 features, database mappings, and even Git commands. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and the takeaway was that I needed to be sharper not just on code, but on the surrounding delivery and platform practices.
