I got an email from ICE asking me to complete a technical test.

I initially thought it would involve video, so I dressed accordingly, only to start the assessment and find there was no video or audio—just a set of questions. The test included 19 multiple-choice questions and three short-answer questions, and it took about 45 minutes. The content was mostly Linux and SQL.

Later that night, I received a call from HR asking about my current work status, and I told them I could start immediately. After that, I never heard back at all, which made the whole effort feel pointless.
