My onsite interview was arranged as a sequence of different stages that swung between practical and leadership-style checks.

I started with a hands-on practical piece where I wrote a simple OOP client-server application, then there was a questionnaire covering framework knowledge.

After that, the process moved into people-management conversations. A group manager interview and then a VP R&D interview followed, and the dynamic changed noticeably at the VP stage. The questions and interaction felt less like a two-way interview and more like an ego-driven performance. The interviewer came across as arrogant and aggressive, and the lack of soft skills was so jarring that I ended up interrupting the interview.
