I went through a single “general discussion” round that was framed as part of the process, but it didn’t feel like a real evaluation of my engineering skills.

The conversation covered high-level topics like microservices, design patterns, Spring Boot, and databases.

The structure felt like it took time without really testing depth, and by the end it honestly felt like a wasted block of time rather than a proper technical screen. I left with the impression that what I discussed didn’t translate into meaningful next steps.

I didn’t get an offer, and the biggest reflection was how little technical signal I felt during the interaction.
