Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The online assessment took a while and left me feeling like the clock mattered as much as the thinking.

I had three questions to complete in about 130 minutes, each one written in the style of simplified coding challenges. One asked for a character count in a string, another used a basic equation about a circle to get the number of points, and the third involved checking whether a chemical formula had balanced ends, without needing to handle parentheses.

Across the assessment experience, I also had to write code with my own tests. The provided test cases were minimal, so I needed to create edge cases myself, which ended up being a bit tedious even though the core coding felt straightforward.
