The overall structure of the interview process felt like a standard software engineering flow, but the experience itself was off.

I remember the employees I spoke with coming across as aloof and not very familiar with who they were interviewing or why the interviews were happening.

It was especially noticeable when I talked to a CTO, because I expected more clarity and engagement. Instead, the conversation felt detached, and it created a red-flag feeling that I couldn’t really shake.

I didn’t get an offer. What stuck with me most wasn’t even the technical portion—it was the lack of alignment and preparation in the way the interviewers showed up for their roles.
