Hive (CA) Software Engineer interview experience

First, I talked with an engineer, and then I had another phone call with someone from the management team.

Each call had behavioral questions where I was asked to walk through my projects and background, and then there were a couple of coding questions mixed in. The interviewers both kept it grounded in my experience, rather than turning it into a pure algorithm grind.

I didn’t receive an offer. Still, the experience felt fairly direct and understandable in terms of what they were trying to evaluate—how I thought about my work and how I handled coding in the moment.
