I went through a final-stage technical interview that lasted for more than an hour, and it felt like the process really got into the details.

The panel members were kind and the atmosphere stayed respectful, and an HR discussion lasted around twenty minutes.

The part I found most surprising was what happened at the very end—the role didn’t end up going forward, and they selected another candidature despite the interview going well. I didn’t get an offer, and while the people were pleasant, the ending left me with that frustrating feeling that the hard work still didn’t translate into selection.
