My first conversation started out pretty normal, with time spent on the company and my background, but then the interview quickly became an algorithms-and-data-structures session.

The technical portion lasted about an hour with two questions—one warm-up to get me going and then a graph problem that required more careful reasoning.

The pace felt like it moved on its own once I started solving, so I leaned on fundamentals and tried to structure my approach as I talked through the solution. I didn’t end up getting a follow-up or an offer, and what surprised me most was how quickly it shifted from general conversation into a tightly focused problem-solving format.
