HelloFresh Software Engineer interview experience

CanadaPosted Nov 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The process felt like a slow grind—about three months—ending in a rejection after I’d gone through four rounds of interviews, including one with their CTO.

Even though I could tell the interviews were demanding, the bigger issue was how unsupported I felt throughout the whole time.

I wasn’t given clear guidance on what to expect or how to prepare, and I spent a lot of effort trying to get basic scheduling and feedback to happen. Instead of feeling coordinated, it felt like I was always chasing for the next step. By the end, the lack of empathy and communication was what really lingered for me, and it made the rejection feel extra disheartening.
