I walked into the interview to better understand where I stood, and it turned into a useful confrontation with my weaknesses.

The interviewer asked questions that related to the kind of design position I’d been discussing before, and while I could explain parts of my background, there were moments where my gaps showed.

The difficulty landed in the average range. I didn’t feel like I was completely unprepared, but the interview forced me to notice where my depth wasn’t as strong as I’d hoped.

I didn’t receive an offer, and the honest part of the experience for me was that I left more aware than discouraged—my focus after that shifted to fixing those weak areas.
