HCL Tech Software Engineer interview experience

There were three separate calls, and most of the conversation centered on personal background and general details rather than technical questions.

It also came with the context that the hiring was tied to a two-year contract, and that made the overall process feel transactional rather than like a long-term investment in my skill match. I didn’t receive an offer, and what stuck with me most was how little the calls actually centered on what I could build or how I’d handle the day-to-day technical work.
