I went through a lot of rounds without ever really feeling like I had a clear read on how I was doing at each step.

The interviews involved a standard progression and there wasn’t much transparency about my performance in the moment. Still, the people were personable and the employer overall felt nice and welcoming.

Even though I enjoyed my time speaking with them, I finished the process without landing the job. The number of phases made it harder to stay grounded, because it was difficult to tell whether I was closing in on an outcome or just being kept in the pipeline.

My honest reflection was that the experience felt friendly, but the lack of feedback made the waiting harder than it needed to be.
